Hey there all. im new around and my name is jimmy
i was wondering if anyone could help me find a solution
about why battlefield 2 (bf2) keeps on crashing on me

it has only just recently started to occur and its starting
to frustrate me

when i go to load a map (say dragon valley) it will
fully load and in the bottom left corner it will say
loading complete: checking client server
it is then at this point that the music start to skip and jump
the briefly afterwards the game will crash and im back on
my desktop

greatly appreciate it if someone can help

thanks
jimmy

is this just for battlefield 2, or do you have any of the expansions?

What are your system specs and have you tried anything at this point to resolve the issue?

Here are a few suggestions:

audio and video drivers

For punkbuster issues, please refer to this punkbuster thread

if your running xfire, please completely close it down. It may be a source of conflict.

Have you check punkbuster?

if you don't what it is, then your probably not running it.

I would recommend uninstalling bf2 and then reinstalling.

manual uninstall instructions

Manual install instructions (if needed)

If this doesn't resolve your issue then it could very well be your video card that's starting to fail.
