every once in a while my flash player does not allow me to play anything. It just runs for about a second or two and freezes. I noticed that when this happens that all sound in the computer stops working. restarting the compur=er is a temp fix.

If this is something that only occurs occassionally, then it is very hard to troubleshoot. If it is repeatable and reproducible, then we can we can narrow down our list of things that may be causing it.

Somethings it might be (in no particular order)
  • sound card drivers
  • faulty sound card
  • power supply
  • aging system
  • heat

Since your running windows 98, our choices are very limited. I would suggest restarting your pc when this happens. With win98, this is a common solution.
