As per ATI: "When a digital panel connected to the graphics card the Windows system log will show the error CRT invalid display type, the source is ati2mtag. This occurs with Catalyst 7.7 and higher. This error will not cause any issues to the system or performance. If you do not want to see the error, the workaround is to install Catalyst 7.6".

The ATi catalyst drivers 7.6 are here if the above drivers still have problems.

thank you for your help. I managed to get rid of this error. I got another problem, my pc restart so I check the event viewer no error was recorded when the pc restarted and also it kept restarts and then it took me to this screen do you want to start windows in safe mode or boot windows normally. I clicked boot windows normally and I check my event viewer and nothing was there. Anyone know what could be the problem?
