firefox problem

I cant open Firefox. When I try , a window opens which says I have firefox already opened and that I have to close it to open another window or restart my computer. I have restarted the PC and I have also uniinstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but have the exact same reults . HELP !!!

First thing to try is to open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys).
Click on the Processes tab.
Highlight each instance of firefox.exe in the list and click End Task.
Try restarting Firefox.
