[jw010x8941]

Hi i updated my internet to Ie8 and messed about with some add ons (don't know why) and now everytime i click on Ie the page loads feezes then dissapears? i can't access internet options? system restore doesn't work? i tried to run sfc/scannow but it asks for a windows cd which i don't have, i tried the virgin broadband setup cd but for some reason that has never worked i just get an error message, my email and everything else works, i tried a virus scan with avast and found a few malaware so deleted them but still didn't work? and obviously i can't access the internet to do anything else, can anyone please help but keeping in mind i'm ok with computers but no expert. Thanx
