Very stupid question regarding S-video cables

Im sure this will be the easiest question to answer hah. I was going to hook my PC up to my tv for that nice big monitor hahah. I do not have SVG on the back of my tv but I have S-video. I also have Svideo on my video card. I can just hook the svideo to the back of my PC and to the TV then turn the tv on and change the source and it should work??
