Printer printing computer-eez

I'm trying to help a friend with a printer problem. She has a Dell computer and Dell printer 922, using XP, IE and Comcast WebMail. Printer works normally in printing documents in Word. However, when attempting to print an article from the Internet or an e-mail message, the result is 5 to 20 pages of computer-eez. Problem developed recently. Pulled the power and connector to Pc, waited a few minutes, then reconnected, but no help. Any suggestions. Thanks.
