I have another question, myself. They usually don't come thick and fast, but... :)

Every time I open Microsoft Word (I have version 2002 SP3), I get the following error:

Microsoft_Word_Error.jpg

Anybody know what this is, and how I can make it go away? I do not know or care what a macro is, I just want to open Word and have my document appear, without the error!

Cheers in advance,

Troy

Hi Troy.

Open Word, ignore the error.

Now, select Tools > Macros> Security

You'll find it's set to high - setting it to Medium or Low will remove the message.

Medium should be fine for you.

HOWEVER - this will make you more vulnerable to virus attacks, as many viruses are writtren in visual Basic which all Office macros are also written in.

Only open documents if they are from a trusted source, and if in doubnt, simply sleect "Disable Macros" if you get a document with an embedded macro.

My goodness you are a champion, Jonesey.

I could not find that in the "Options" Menu, but Macros have their own menu...

Word now opens extremely fast! :)

The only documents I open on this computer are ones I make myself.

Cheers, and thanks again.
