I just got a 750gb WD mybook external HD and im wondering if there is a way to use this drive to store my info, and run system intensive stuff ( games ) from my raptor. is this even possible?

By being on a USB cable you limit the speed the computer can access the data on the drive. It would be far better to install a second hard drive in the computer and move all data to that drive. I do this with all my computers. I always install 2 drives, one smaller one ( usually around 160 gigs) as the "C" operating system drive with only windows and programs installed. All data goes to the "D" larger drive (250G and up SATA drive).
