I have a new Maxtor One Touch 4 Ext. Hard Drive. It worked fine the first month, but when I tried to save a large file of pictures to it, it stopped working completely. It is not recognized in My Computer or in Disk Manager. I also downloaded TestDisk, but that does not detect it either. I've tried plugging it in to three different computers, and it doesn't work on any of them.

Please tell me there is some hope of recovering my files :)

Well unless you can get something to see it ( try other data recovery software... I've used getdataback from runtimesystems ) you may have only one option..... send it to an expensive data recovery place....
