Sound stops working

Hi
I am having a problem whereby on some websites the audio seems to stop working, although it only seems to be when I try to play flash based audio players. My audio when playing mp3's etc is fine. I'm using firefox. The strange thing is, I don't have the problem when using Internet Explorer. Any help is appreciated
