Did you reinstall motherboard drivers?
Did you install network card driver?
Any errors in Device Manager?

Go Start>Run, type in:
devmgmt.msc
Click OK.

Device Manager will open.
Do you see any yellow "?", or "!" marks?

What do they say?
Your computer should be supplied with drivers CD. Do you have it?
What brand, and model is your computer?

That's why, your internet doesn't work. I guess, you have also video, and sound problem.
Go here: http://support.dell..../...tid=&impid=, download, and install your drivers:
- ethernet - Broadcom - Driver
As for audio, and video, it depends on your particular machine.
Go here: http://support.dell..../...tid=&impid=, click on Add or Edit Service Tag, enter your service tag number, and get audio, and video driver.
