It doesnt list a wireless adapter, i uninstalled the other and i cant seem to install a new adapter.

that didnt do anything for my wireless, i still dont have a wireless adapter installed. i tried installing the broadcom wireless LAN driver off that same page and it didnt do anything either.

In that case, I strongly suspect, your adapter is dead.
