Internet Connection's good but Internet Explorer won't load

hey guys i got an interesting one i recently purchased system mechanic pro. v.8.0 with liscence and all. When i went to go to optimize my setting and defrag my comp; the reboot process and all everything went fine. until i tried to connect to the internet via I.E. 7 the link will load but nothing comes up, what i found odd was my yahoo messanger comes up logs in and is functional until i try and click the mail box link and nothing happens the following is a log of my hijack this:

I have tried to reinstall I.E 7 directly from the site, but the only way i am able to connect is through apple's SAFARI program and i am at a loss for ideas 'cause i can not download Mozilla "fire fox" while SAFARI is running any help guys THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
