A week of so I contracted a virus and screwed everything up. I backed up everything and today did a complete reinstall of XP. Now, all the letters and everything looks very faint. In fact I can barely read this words that I am typing. It looks as if half the letters are gone. I went into settings and the color quality is set at 32 bit. I have a 19 inch wide screen flat panel monitor and the resolution is set at 1360x768. What could be wrong? I don't know is the monitor needs something done to it as far as the settings or what. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.

Do you have on-board video (did you reinstall motherboard drivers?), or separate video card (did you try to reinstall its driver?)
