Hi everyone,

I am having some issues with Access 2007. When I try to import a text file into a table using a predefined spec, the routine will run for a while and then error out with the message "the search key was not found in an record".

Any ideas on what this is and how I can fix it??

Thanks for the suggestions but none worked so far. I have Access 2007 with the latest version of the Jet engine installed (SP8) I believe although the knowledge base article didn't specify if the version I have was SP8?? When I tried running on of the install routines mentioned in the articles it told me I had a new version that what I was attempting to install so I canceled the operation. The file I want to import is very large and I suspect that it has a blank space in it somewhere? I just can't find it to delete it out. The file is several hundreds of thousands of lines long! Guess I'll go back to hunting around! :) :)
