same problem on XP and 2000 pro

I have recently developed the same problem on 2 computers one a Compac Deskpro running 2000 Pro and the other an Emachines running XP. When I try to copy a picture from My Documents into a blank Word document, Word crashes every time. Both machines USED to work doing this with no issues. They are on a router. No other interaction.

Any ideas? I am trying to make product info sheets so I need to copy pictures and enter text.

did you try entering some text first...then the picture...
