hello Fenor, we did a web search and found this post, _http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Help-t157326.html&gopid=1372619#entry1372619 though it has gone dormant for a while we are also in need of some assistance.

our auntie recently purchased a C500 and like Mychal our auntie has become frustrated by the vista install, and decided that she just wanted to have xp installed instead. So we took her into town and had her pickup her own xp disk. Now though the installed network controller, sm bus controller, video controllers, an unknown device as well as a pci device are all yellow ?'d. We'd have no issue getting any of these drivers installed and her system up and running as it should be, although the modem drivers missing, hence you see our situation for what it is. If we could just get the drivers we can burn them to a disk here on our sys and then install them on hers. You may be asking why we don't just use the network adapter and connect to high speed and bypass the hassle of this. Well here in the pacific northwest on the Skokomish reservation and the back woods area near it, well there is no wish of getting dsl for at least another 5yrs so it's dial up unless someone wants to go as far as getting the unsecured expensive satellite connection from the only 2 satellite providers in this area.

So, I am here asking for a hand in finding the modem and or other drivers so that we can get her system up and online for her finally. to save you having to ask here is our info.

thank you for taking the time to read this post in the least
