Well, you can disable ACPI.

If you are trying to run Ubuntu from the live CD:

Highlight "Start or Install Ubuntu"

Hit F6

Type the follow:

acpi=off

Press enter

It should not ignore the fact that your ACPI is not compatible.

Let me know if that works for you.

Hi,
I'm too late, that's indeed the answer you have to type acpi=off at the boot up sequence options.

A moderator may want to close this topic, since the original post was a year and half ago, and never even did a second reply.
