How to backup your iTunes media: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1382

Another non-apple independent tutorial on how to do it: http://www.tuaw.com/...using-itunes-7/

And another just in case you find the other two hard to follow: http://www.best-ipod...unes-songs.html

Hello:

May I suggest that you backup all of your important data to an external drive -Especially your Documents, Music and other files that you may need? This is the way I keep my backup time to a minimum, because I can just backup what I need, and restore the whole lot by using my external drive.

Good Luck!!
