Hello, I have Windows XP on my computer, and when i go to Start > Connect to > Wireless Network Connection

Nothing comes up. Usually, a window would appear with my network information, now it doesn't respond. I click and nothing happens.

I googled this problem and I think it could be because some how the window is disabled?

Here is one for the Task Manager

Similar to the problem I'm having.

Can I solve my problem with regedit?

------------------------------------

Also, I think this may have been a result of trojan and infections on my computer. I don't know how but suddenly my computer has been having very big problems, (slow, internet problems, etc)

Can anyone give me a recommendation for a program? I've already tried ESET Smart Security, and PC Tools Spyware Doctor. Neither of these seem to be effective for me. I need a program that is actually worth the money.

THANKS!!

Hello,
Before you throw your money away on another anti-virus I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
