Im asking this because for a while I had been using nortons then after reading many reviews and posts it was not the best. Then I was told to use AVG, have been using that for a while but don't really feel all that great. I now am using nod32, the 30 day trial period and if I like it, I will purchase it. After downloading nod32 is when I recieved my first "antivirus 2009" popup.

So which is the best antivirus out there?

Hi brettxw and welcome to Geeks to Go!

Our forum is full of these topics, so you may want to use our forum search feature to find the results you want.

However, I am a happy NOD32 user for a few years now. It's also very well rated when independent research is conducted.

Here is a great source of such tests... If you go to AV-Comparatives, you can see different tests that have conducted. Numerous products are tested, and you will find that NOD32 was constantly among the top performers. It's worth a read. All you need to do is click on the Comparatives tab on the left.

Hope this helps!
