Currently, I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3. Recently I've scanned my notebook with ComboFix to fix a problem that prevents me from opening the C: and D: Drives by just double clicking it. I reckon it has something to do with the "autorun.inf" file which has been infected by virus. Anyway, Combofix has helped to resolve this issue after running the scan. However, I noticed that every time i boot up my notebook, there's a text screen message option prompted that shows which mode I prefer to boot my notebook from i.e. 1st choice : Start Windows via "Windows System Recovery Console" Mode or 2nd Choice : Start Windows via "Windows XP Professional" Mode. However, either of these choices do not make much difference to me but I wonder how come this message appear right after I run the ComboFix?? How could this be? Is this normal? Or is there anything that i could do to fix this? I've also attached my Combofix scan log for your review.
