Ok I took some bad advice from someone an messed up my computer. I using the computer one day and it turned off on it own. I was able to turn it back on and continue what I was doing. I was talking with a friend at work and he told me to delete all the updates and reinstall them. Ooooops. So I deleted SP2 and tried to reinstall it. now it start the installment and maybe five minutes into it, it turn off the computer and them restarts it. Could someone please give me some advice on how to correct what I have done..

Thanks
Rick

Thanks for the information, it was the anti-virus. My system was trying to download SP3 and Macfee was stopping it. Once I disable it and downloaded it in safe mode the issue has stopped.

Welcome to Geeks to Go. :)

Can you boot to Safe Mode? If so, try doing a system restore to a time before the problems began.
