Ok so we bought my son an XBOX 360 for christmas and we have a delima for getting it online. I would like to put it in his room. Our home computer is out in the family room no way to hard wire it to the wireless router already in place. Really don't want to buy a wireless adapter for the XBOX unless I have to. Is it possible to attach a cable modem to the existing cable that is ran into my son's room. We have TimeWarner cable internet and TV, and the cable that is in his room was from cable TV however he does not have a box in his room anymore. So no active cable in there at the moment. Just wondering if it is possible to hook a cable modem up to an existing cable and have it work.

No sorry,
You will either have to buy a adapter for the 360 or move the router closer. If your PC is wireless then there is no need for the router to be right next to the pc. You could just move the modem and router closer I guess, but if thats not an option, then yeah your going to have to go for the adapter :)
