Hi guys,

Well i am kind of new to this , had build a Pentium 4 pc couple of years ago.

Now i want to build Quad core machine.

The problem is about casing. I live in Tanzania,Africa so we don't get much choices here and i can't get it shipped from us as it will double my cost.

Though i got q6600,
Intel® Desktop Board DG35EC
Rams 4gb ( i have of Kingston as well other low frequency )
Hitachi 160 gb HDD ( boot ) and seagate 500gb (2nd HDD)
Video card ( have to get whats best available in the local market ) not much of gamer so its ok.

Now comes the issue of casing and cooling system !

one of the guy told me that the fan which comes with Q6600 will be sufficient i don't overclock.

So first question is that true ?

second question is can a normal size case be okay with my specs till i get a nice case from states !

Thanks,

Huzz

Hi there,

Yes the standard Intel heatsink/fan should be sufficient.

As long as your motherboard can fit in the case, then yes it will be fine. Just make sure to choose a case that lets you fit an extra case fan on the back to help with your air-flow.
