My girlfriend's HDD was fried, so I bought a new one and installed it. When I put the HP restore disk inside and formatted the HDD, a message pops up telling me that the disk is only for use on HP computers, which leads me to the conclusion that the recovery disks were meant only for that one HDD. Any recommendations on what I should do, aside from buying a whole new version of Windows?

Thanks a lot!
