We are building a system that needs to have the capability to simultaneously record up to 4 channels from a camera input. The perfect product we have found for this is:

I have found what seem to be products that perform almost exactly the same function for next to nothing. The aforementioned input card is PCI-E and costs around $1,000. These are about $50 and are mainly standard PCI cards:

Namely this one:

Why is the first one so expensive and the others so cheap? The system I am building MUST be a robust one. Are there any other alternatives that I have not seen?

Also an option to use two different cards for audio and video is an option, but not preferred.

As always... thank you for your help in advance :)
