Help me finish of the trojan-spy.smitfraud virus[CLOSED]

Hey all. I must start by saying that this is an excellent forum.
I was viciously attacked by that trojan-spy.smitfraud c virus. Blue screen wallpaper, homepage, errors. Using advice that demon gave to another victim, I managed to get my wallpaper back, and all seems well.
This is except for the fact that my homepage is still being highjacked, and even if I use highjack this, I still cant stop it. The following is my highjack this log:

As you can see, I Use a university server.
Anyway, any help in killing off what remains would be greatly appreciated.

Hi jaded-arell

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

The following updates failed to be installed successfully:


Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773)

Error: There is not enough disk space to install the update(s). Free additional space on your hard disk and then try again.

I still have 19.2 GB left...
I will try to raise my disk space anyway, and try again later. It may also be the uni network.

Me again, I think that I have gotten rid of the virus, my homepage remains the same now (take that smitfraud)
though i cant get windows update to work
agian, thanks for this online community in helping me

Hi jaded-arell

Please download, install and run this disk cleanup utility called Cleanup version 4.0!

It will get rid of any malware which may be hiding in your temp folders ( a common hiding place). You will also regain a massive amount of disk space. Here is a tutorial which describes its usage:

Check the custom settings to your liking under options, but be sure to delete temporary files and temporary internet files for all user profiles. Also, cleanout the prefetch folder and the recycle bin.
Reboot when prompted to let it clean out the remaining files.

Reboot as normal

Lets see if this will finds any hidden Trojan’s http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
This setup contains the free as well as the plus-version of the ewido security suite. After the installation, a free 14-day test version containing all the extensions of the plus-version will be activated. At the end of the test phase, the extensions of the plus version are deactivated and the freeware version can be used unlimited times. The purchased license code of the plus version can be entered at any time.
Ewido will auto-udate tne run a full scan save the log when the scan has finnished.

Post the ewido log and a new HJT.Log
