Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS problems..

Hello. I'm not tech-savvy, but I believe my computer is slow due to this card. I had a different card before I sent it in for a free upgrade, and received this card instead.

Now, when I switch from a program that uses graphics (a game)- there's extreme lag for a few moments before it works again. Anyone have any suggestions ? I updated it using Windows Update, and no change there either.

Could it be something else, even?

Are you talking about laptop?

(NVidia 8400M GS doesn't exist in desktop version like a separate card) if you had motherboard with an separated graphic card then after replacement you got new motherboard with integrated 8400M GS graphics on it. So lot of things can differ.

which card did you have before?
