i think i have two different problems, i'm not sure right now. My mouse, MX518 Logitech Gaming Mouse, will occasionally freeze and there will be the sound of a USB mouse disconnecting. This happens whether i'm playing a game, watching a video or just browsing the internet. The USB disconnecting sound may occur very fast (<1 second delay) or extremely slow (up to a minute delay) after freezing. Then I have to either restart my computer or take USB cord out and reconnect it. This seems to happen in a cycle sort of; when the first USB disconnect error happens after a long time of it not happening, it will usually happen frequently after and then it will revert back to a normal mouse with little or none of the USB disconnect problems and then gradually back to the USB disconnection error state. I am also faced with another problem, the fact that my mouse will not work in another USB port other than the one I plugged it in when i first got my computer. I've tried changing the mouses but they do not work in ANY ports whatsoever. I have even tried with my brother's mouse which is basically the same type of mouse except with a different color and it didn't work in any of the ports. When I connect another mouse, other than my current one, I will get a error message that states that there was a error in the hardware installation. Also, there is usually no laser emitting from the bottom of those mouses except for when im starting up my computer. But even with the laser, on the user account selection screen, the mouse cursor was not responding whatsoever. Also, my mouse works on other computers (not sure about the disconnect USB problem existing since I only plug it in for <10 minutes). Can anyone help me please?
