I am trying to install a new graphics card. It requires a free six pin connector which I don't have.
Can I retro-fit one or do I need a new power supply?

Adaptors are available but the general concensus is, if the PSU doesn't have one already, it's usually not good enough to power a card that needs a six-pin adaptor.

thanks - I figured as much - but before I spend big $$ on a new power supply I'll try the adaptor.
