I'm using Bart PE to recover data from my desktop PC's hard drive and am finally able to access my saved data, but now have the problem that Bart PE won't recognise the external hard drive plugged into my USB ports. I first formatted the drive as FAT 32, then NTFS, and in both cases plugged in the drive before booting the PC.

Any ideas why the USB drive isn't recognised? Do I need to build another Bart PE disk with USB plugins? If so, how?
