yesterday, I downloaded a program called flashget, along with rar, and then downloaded a file. A little while later I tried to right click on my mouse using internet explorer and nothing would highlight. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

I did uninstall both programs, restarted, ran a virus scan, and still the dialogue box (when right clicking on the mouse) will not highlight anything. Can anyone help?

Are you trying to highlight a word or copy something? If that's it, left click to highlight, then right click and choose what you want to do from the drop down menu.

Are you sure the .Rar file wasn't infected? What antivirus scan did you run?

You can clean adware out by using Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware:
http://www.majorgeek...ware_d5756.html
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

Some information about "adware" --> FlashGet:

Free Download Manager is clean. I used it when I was on dial-up:

Click on your Computer (from the start orb), then click on Local Disk C:
Next, click on 'Program Data', then the Malwarebyte's folder....you should see mbam-setup.exe in there.

Mine is no longer working either.  Started yesterday.  I can highlight and copy but when I right-click, nothing.  I run Windows Vista.  Any help would be appreciated.
