Error while opening IE\Calculator....

I am getting this error if I try to open IE: "windows cannot find c:\program files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again...", though it is residing in that location. I also get similar error message if I start->run->calc : "windows cannot find 'calc' Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again..."

I have tired many things now, none worked.... :)
Pl Help Me!!!!
