This happens after a file automatically tries to run called reint.exe or reinter.exe. Both files currently found on the root of c:. Manually running these files causes the same issue. Removal of these files does not seem to help. I have used spybot and adaware but they found nothing. These two files keep trying to launch themselves but trend micro blocks it and states it has found spyware listed above. Keeps happening about every 30 min.
I work in a school and this has gone campus wide. The students have brought in usb sticks from outside and this has caused the spread onto teachers machines. i.e. teachers first noticed it when they plugged in students usb device.
I have copied a hijack this log below. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
This particular machine also had TROJ_IRCFLOOD.AH - c:windows\inf\31861617.INS and BKDR_IRCBOT.AA c:\windows\inf\91723679.INS detected by trend office scan at same time. Yet this is not consistant with other machines showing similar symtoms. i.e they all have the HKTL issue and the reint.exe/reinter.exe files.
