Id rather you save your money and not get a new CPU so you can put that money towards the video card but I do know of a bracket and bolt set for $5 that will work on the STOCK Intel CPU and solve the crappy push pin problem. I would do this instead..

All you do is take off the crappy push pins on the stock fan then install the backplate behind the mobo then put then screws in with a screw driver, simple and solves all problems for only $5 lol.. YES IT WILL FIT the STOCK fan and no more un-properly seated cpu fan. It will be much sturdier.

Your case is fine and your power supply should be good also.

Any other questions just post but I have work tomorrow early and will not be on until LATE at night so maybe someone else can help if needed.

Thank you for your help again. Not sure what you mean by the last message 'not get a CPU so you can put that money towards a video card' and 'push pin problem'. Can you expand please?

I will also be buying a graphics card for around £70 - £90.

Thanks again.

thought I'd missed something there. Thanks for your help. I have 3 more questions for you if you have the time:

How many tubes of that thermal compound do I need? just the one?

What about this fan for cooling? what do you think?

or maybe this:

Which version of windows should I buy XP, Vista, 32bit, 64 bit? I guess that my OEM version of XP will not work on a new machine?

Thank you
