Sorry, I should have known better and rebooted. I have a question about something, but I don't want to seem like I am jumping ahead, lol. I have noticed something called PTSNOOP in the running processes - what is this?

Here is the New Log
Thanks

If you're still having problems with your computer locking up, it's possible that Zonealarm is contributing to the problem, but since you need a firewall I recommend uninstalling Zonealarm and trying this firewall instead:

Sygate

Here are the recommendations for keeping your system clean:

First and foremost, you NEED an anti-virus program:

AntiVirus Program<= An AntiVirus program is a must! Whether it is a free version like AVG or Anti-Vir, or a shareware version like Norton or Kapersky, this is a must have.

Prevention Programs:

Spywareblaster <= SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
Spywareguard <= SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.

Detect and Remove Programs:

How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Ad-Aware.
How to use Spybot to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Spybot. Similar to Ad-Aware, I strongly recommend both to catch most spyware.

I do have anti-virus with my ZoneAlarm suite....should I stick with this and tolerate the freezing problems, or are the free ones just as effective?

You're very welcome!

If you can deal with the freezing then you can keep Zonealarm on there, otherwise using SyGate firewall and AVG will be just as effective. You could just try Sygate and AVG and if the problems persist, you can always go back to Zonealarm if that's what you feel more comfortable with. :tazz:

If you try Sygate and AVG and still have freezing problems, feel free to come back!
