Hi,

We have an old Gateway tower running Windows 2000. It was passed from me to my wife to my son. An old clunker for sure, but it served my 8 year old well.

Today, my son was cleaning his computer desk and accidentally knocked the tower on its side. After this happened, the computer stopped working. It powers up, shows the Gateway logo, and then says Loading Windows. Then I just get a black screen and the Windows load never completes. Seems odd that the fall of the computer would create such a software issue.

I can click on F8 and get into the menu that allows me to select Safe Mode, Debugging Mode, etc. However, the computer will not load even in Safe Mode, Debugging Mode, or any other mode.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks,
h
