I cannot connect my laptop to the Internet. Even though the status shows as connected and it sometimes do connect to the internet in packets for a while and then it sits there showing cannot connect to internet. My other laptop connets to internet just fine so we can rule out a vista problem here as both the laptops are vista. I had a win 32 error on this laptop which I deleted by following a log using combofix and malware antibytes. The laptop seemed to work absolutely fine after that and hence I deleted the saved logs and as always I did not make a backup of the registry. The only surprising thing is that I never configured my system restore and I was under the impression it creates restore points on its own but now when I want to roll back the system restore has only one week old restore points which are like useless. Also I must tell you that when I boot the system in the safe mode I can connect to internet and I can access internet as fast as it could be. The only thing I have noticed new is the presence of 2 - 3 occurrence of win32dll.exe in the task list (from task mamager) which were not there earlier and I know I should not tamper with them.

I also deleted few things from HJT which I know I should not have and they were available in the backups.. The last entry which is a Tcpip entry may give an impression that it is the problem but this was the last file to go which I removed days after the laptop stopped connecting to internet..
