Access internet from public WiFi

I have an HP Presdario laptop. I can access the internet through my router at home, but not through a public wifi. This is recent; I haven't had this problem in the past. I have reset the network adapter and it worked once, but then quit again. When I rerturned home, I tried to access the intenet here, and it works perfectly. The diagnostics say the network adap
