New Problem this a.m.:

Tried to open/save attachment from E-mail Outlook Express:
When I try to open it or save to disk I am routed to Wordpad and then receive following dialogue box contents:

Program has performed illegal operation:

Details:

Wordpad caused an invalid page fault.
in module MSWRD832.CNV at 0167:0140f6d5

then list of Registers

I have tried all sorts of ways to open file: Sent to floppy, sent to Desktop as shortcut, tried to save it to My Documents, same result all around.

First try to restart your computer, that fixes most problems. If that doesn't work go here : http://support.micro...com/kb/q218632/
It's a microsoft site, but recommends deleting certain registry files to fix the problem, so before you do it you will probably want to save any important files onto a disk and have your operating system CD incase you have to reinstall it.

In response to m2zt concerning this problem,I have visited Microsoft site, and read all, but this problem only seems to be centred around this one e-mail attchment, Wordpad and MSPaint are working fine in other respects.
