AMD Phenom II vs Intel Core i7

Hi i want to now something does the AMD Phenom II have 8 core?
and does the Intel Core i7 have 8 core?
As i can not find this information that i need i need to now how many cores it has for both.

both chips have 4 actual cores BUT the INTEL core i7 has hyperthreading so it shows 8 cores in windows.
