New to all this, but here goes....

I can't connect to the internet via ethernet with my new Vista PC (I have home premium 64 bit). I can use my wireless card and connect just fine, and I can connect just fine via the same ethernet cable on my laptop (it has xp). But Vista doesn't even recognize a network when I plug in the ethernet cable and unplug the wireless card. When I go to view my networks with the ethernet connected, there isn't one. Like I said, I know the ethernet cable and my comcast cable internet are both working fine, as I can connect that way on my laptop, but my PC won't connect. Help please!
