I have windows XP and windows media player 10. Media player has always started playing immediately, (or after a very short buffering), when a file begins to download - but recently it has begun waiting until the entire file downloads to a temporary folder before it begins to play. Can anyone tell me how to get it to play immediately again?

May be low on RAM. Go to Programs > Startup and remove some items. This does not remove any programs. Also run scan disk and defrag. May help.
