Not exactly looking for perfection. I figure since I have LOST all of my data twice I deserve to be up and running pretty smoothly.

More than half of my hard drive is now being taken up by stuff I cannot use. I would like it gone! It is stacked all in one partition...which includes 2...now 3 xp operating systems....2 MS office systems and numerous other junk. ******Important----somewhere in there is the original operating system for this old computer...I have no idea what it is. I ONLY have a legal XP Pro UPGRADE disc. I do not want to jeopardize my ability to reinstall if it becomes necessary.

Is there a way to somehow either delete all the other junk or compress it so that when I run one of my anti-virus programs or such....it does NOT check these? They are slowing down my NEW installation dramatically. I do not need any of it so I have no concern other than NOT affecting that original operating system.
