When i try to go on certain sites it looks like a bunch of codes

Check your character encoding in your browser to see if you are using something other than Western (ISO-8859-1). This is usually found from the View Menu of your browser.

OK. I just looked at http://www.imeem.com/ with Firefox and the character encoding as previously posted and saw no weird characters. On some of the Google searches, you will see some results that are weird looking because they could be foreign or may be using an entirely different character set for the site. Which is which is hard to tell without more examples of the sites you have experienced with weird characters.
