1. The mouse jumps and stud steps though all programs. When beginning to type once I click where I want to start I have to wait 5 to 10 seconds before the flashing bar starts and it will also stop and I can continue to type and stop and it will catch up. When clicking on links even buttons sometimes I have to click over and over again. When doing these I can click at the top of the browser and it will show “Not Responding.” Then a few seconds later it responds. I have a Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse and changes the batteries regular.
2. When viewing videos of any type with any of my players (I have most of them) the play will stop, and then play very fast then plays normal. The same thing would happen when I replay it.
3. When I click on the start button menu and began to Scholl up to a program it would stop on a program for about 5 seconds and let me continue my Scholl to my choice but when I click on my choice it takes at times over a minute to open. Sometime when I try to close a program by either using the file menu or clicking on the close (The red “X”) it would take a little while to close. When it finally do close I get an error message “Program not responding.”
These are my main problems. I have tried just about everything to correct this. I wiped my hard drive clean by nuking it. I have a BA in computer science (1983) and an AA in computer technology (2008 to update my BA) so you can talk the tech to me and I will understand. I have two computers which I build myself with new hardware and software and the motherboard and CPU are about 2 years old. My gaming computer is just fine just this one that is giving me these problems. I use Avg free, Sygate personnel firewall (I disable Windows firewall) and Ad-Aware.
I would appreciate any help I can get.
