I am new here, and I apologize if I haven't posted this in the right area. I am running Windows Vista Basic.

A Norton Antivirus program has been appearing on my desktop screen for the last three days. When I go to install/remove programs, it is listed as a program that has been installed. I have removed it twice. I un-installed it the other day and it reappeared yesterday. I uninstalled it again last night, and this morning it is here again.

I don't know if this is related, but I allowed my son to go to his school game website to play games the teachers link there. It takes him off the school site and out onto the internet to play games at different internet sites. We have had this problem before when we play online games-we've seemed to pick up all sorts of trash that ends up messing up the computer.

I'd like to be able to remove this with help, otherwise I have to pay to get Dell to remove it.

thanks!

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal - HiJackThis™ Logs Go Here area.

Before you post a log click on this link --> You Must Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log
this will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your Hijackthis log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
