Hi, I had this problem about 3 months ago, fixed it, and now it seems it's back on both my laptop and computer.
Like everyone I have hidden files that I like to keep private, but now I cannot change "Do not show hidden files and folders" to "Show hidden files and folders".
Everytime I change the value to a different number in the registry or "Show" in the options, it simply resets itself to "Do not show".
Obviously I have a feeling this is due to some sort of virus/malware/trojan.
On both systems I am currently using Nod32, Spydbot SD (Scanner only) as well as Ad-Aware SE Personal.
I now have HijackThis installed and the log, if required, is the attached file.
Upon reading up on this problem it was brought to my attention that there is a possibility my USB drive has something to do with this (transferring files from my desktop to my laptop) so what should be done about my USB Drive, if anything?
All help will be greatly appreciated.
